OBTAINING A BURN PERMIT:
Burn Permits are issued throught the New Canaan Fire Company at headquarters on 60 Main Street New Canaan, CT 06840

Burning permits are issued Monday through Saturday, from 9am to 1pm. You may stop by the firehouse to pick one up, please call fire headquarters at (203)594-3140.

Notice: Burn permits are issued based on the following critieria: The weather in recent weeks and day of permit issue, reccommendations from the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection, and time restrictions. When granted a permit, you may only burn until 5pm.
